Durango West 2 (DW2) is just 7 miles – a 10 minute drive – west of downtown Durango. With 357 homes, we are considered both a child-friendly community as well as one that retirees enjoy. DW2 has 8 cul-de-sacs which provide quiet spaces. We have six miles of recreation trails with additional historic trails on private property or land conservation trusts.  DW2 offers a safe family-friendly environment with a playground and basketball court. Most of our streets are named for trees: Aspen, Cedar, Spruce, Oak, Pine and Fir. We have an abundance of trees lining the streets and in the greenbelt/trail areas.
